Look for thrift hand stores. You get good deals and since babies grow so quickly, they are all nearly brand new clothes. We turn it in our old clothes for their clothes, but some stores only offer cash. He's got a wide variety of clothes in his closet.

Really look into second hand stores, you can get brand name stuff that's still got the tags on it. Also, don't nuy any clothes until after the birth.

Definitely not Wal-Mart. I think most of their baby clothes look very cheap and they do not have much of a selection. They do have some cute one piece footed sleepers and I have bought my daughter some of those, but as far as clothes for daytime out of the house wear, I definitely would not recommend Wal-Mart. I buy most of my daughter's clothes at Macy's, Baby Gap, Gymboree, Dillard's, and baby boutiques for her dressy things. They do outgrow things fast so I try to find some of her things on sale. Babies R Us sometimes has some cute things that are very inexpensive but don't look that cheap. I would recommend buying 7 or 8 onesies, 10 pair of socks, 5 or 6 footed sleepers, 7 or 8 cute outfits, and 3 or 4 dressy outfits to get you started. Then as baby grows you can go shopping for more. Congrats on your baby!

Ebay is great. Loads of brand new things with tags that people have never gotten around to using for their baby.
